You've got to have faith
The local meteorologists and the NWS have given us a forecast with a 100% chance of rain for today. For a rain-deprived region like ours, that's cause for celebration right?
Nah. I'm jaded at this point. Despite the fact that the Birmingham metro area is currently encircled by rain with two systems approaching us in a pincer-like fashion, you've got to believe that somehow, some way any meaningful rain (not just the 5 drops that were on my car this morning) will once again somehow manage to elude us. We're like James Bond. You don't know how he's going to do it, but you just know he'll pull off a dramatic escape.
And for the record, I'm posting this so I can hopefully have my foot firmly in my mouth at the end of the day. In the past I've found that being overly sarcastic with my predictions is generally the best way to have myself proven wrong.
