It's a sad day for one family in Birmingham . . . and for anyone who loved his goofy commercials. Jim Skinner, founder of Jim Skinner Ford in Birmingham has passed away. Without knowing anything about their personal affairs he'd clearly been sick for awhile as they started to phase him out of their LONG-standing series of commercials over two years ago.
As an unabashed fan of cheesy local commercials I hate to see him go. His sons will continue to carry on the commercial tradition without him. But it just hasn't been the same since.
