A bit of advice
If you don't have kids in school, try to avoid taking vacation on days when the county school system (ours is one of the largest in the state) has apparently scheduled a five day weekend. Had we known, we might have made different plans today.
On the plus side though, the weather is fantastic so it's a great day to be off. I've still got a lot of vacation days to eat through this year so I'm planning to take full advantage of many more days like this before the year is done.
